I grew up riding horses, fishing, and working dairy farms in rural New England. At eighteen, I suffered a traumatic brain injury that wiped out years of memory and transformed my personality (or so some people say – I can’t remember). While recovering, I switched my major from biology to comparative religion at the University of Vermont. I’ve run, bicycled, and skied competitively, but rock climbing and writing are my passions now. When not busy directing a school-based mentoring program in Moab, UT, I’m out among the red rocks writing essays, poetry, and fiction. 1. Daniel I am stunned by the quality of your writing and the depth of thought you convey. I spent quite a bit of time this morning reading through nearly all of your posts. Thank you for your work, and for sharing your ideas so articulately with the world!
